Walkthrough & Notes

1. Speak to Ilte Krongal and will give you 3 Tainted Aetherium Oils.
2. To gain entrance to the quest dungeon, you will need to make your way up the floating platforms that litter the area. You will be running around outside in the Rynthid Infested Plains.
3. To begin the climb, run to the access ramp located at 62.5S, 65.4W and make your way up to the Rynthid Foundry at 62.5S, 64.9W.
4. Make your way thru the Rynthid Foundry giving a Tainted Aetherium Oil to each of the 3 Aetherium Ores in the dungeon. In general you should be going down. There is a locked door (800) and also a Chorozite chest which you can open if you have Lockpick. When you start seeing crystals on the floor you are getting close and you will find the Atherium Ores in separate rooms on the way.
5. Optional: At the end kill the Rynthid Taskmaster to open the last door to the rewards room where you can use a Pile of Spare Parts in the rewards room to acquire a Legendary Key.
6. Return to Ilte Krongal for your rewards.

• Note: A good tactic is to close the doors in between the rooms which has a heavy spawn on Rynthids and Gear Knights.
• Note: Another good tactic can be to use a summoned creature to draw aggro in the rooms where the Aetherium Ores are located. They can usually last long enough to give the player time to hand in the Tainted Aetherium Oil and make an escape.

Ilte Krongal tells you, "Those vile Rynthid! They are amassing an army of Corrupted Gear Knights to use as their pawns. I cannot allow this travesty to continue."

Ilte Krongal tells you, "Bringing their entire operation to a halt is far too ambitious at this stage, the Rynthid are extremely powerful creatures."

Ilte Krongal tells you, "But, if we can disrupt their production, it may give us the edge we need."

Ilte Krongal tells you, "Our greatest alchemists have created a liquid that will drain the energy from their Aetherium supplies and render it useless to any Gear Knight."

Ilte Krongal tells you, "Several of our kind have infiltrated their ranks and discovered the location of their three largest stockpiles of ore. Take these vials, enter their Foundry and pour the Tainted Oil once onto each of the three Aetherium caches."

Ilte Krongal tells you, "This is sure to slow their production and help save many Gear Knights from being further corrupted by the Rynthid."

Ilte Krongal gives you 3 Tainted Aetherium Oil.

During quest, before turning in any Tainted Aetherium Oil

Ilte Krongal tells you, "Have you had any success?"

During quest, if you have less than 3 Tainted Aetherium Oil and have not completed the quest, and talk to Ilte Krongal again

Ilte Krongal tells you, "You require more Tained Aetherium Oil? Please try to be careful with this batch, our supplies are limited."

Ilte Krongal gives you 3 Tainted Aetherium Oil.

Upon triggering aggro from a Corrupt Gear Sentry

Alert! Intruder! Attack!

On handing a Tainted Aetherium Oil to an Aetherium Ore

You allow Aetherium Ore to examine your Tainted Aetherium Oil.

You hand over 1 of your Tainted Aetherium Oil.

You pour the Tainted Oil onto the Aetherium Ore. A strange chemical reaction begins as the ore emits a blue glow. You have ruined the (first/second/third) Aetherium Ore cache!

On handing a Tainted Aetherium Oil to an Aetherium Ore a second time

You have already contaminated this Aetherium Ore cache.

On killing the Rynthid Taskmaster

You hear the sound of thousands of voices screaming in pain as the Rynthid Taskmaster is defeated!

On using the Pile of Spare Parts after entering the chest room

Searching through the pile of Gear Knight parts, you find a key hidden amongst the springs and cogs!

Pile of Spare Parts gives you Legendary Key.

Rewards Dialog

Ilte Krongal tells you, "Excellent work my friend! The Rynthid's operation is sure to be hamstrung after losing such a vast amount of Aetherium."

Ilte Krongal tells you, "This war is far from over, but we have made great strides forward today."
