Skills panel

Added in RynthCore 2026.9.30.6. Training and the quick raise buttons added in .7.

What it is

The Skills panel shows your skills, attributes and vitals in one window. Skills are grouped like the retail window: Specialized, Trained, Untrained and Unusable. For each one you see the buffed and base values, and what the next raise costs in XP. Click a row to see the buffs and debuffs on it, with time left. You can raise skills, attributes and vitals with XP right from the panel. You can also train untrained skills with skill credits.

How to open it

  • Click the graduation cap button on the RynthCore bar, or
  • type /rc ui open Skills.

Like other panels, it can be popped out into its own window.

The basics

The summary line

At the top you'll see:

  • your Level;
  • Unassigned XP (teal when you have some to spend);
  • Total XP;
  • XP to the Next level.

Luminance appears when you have any. Vitae appears in red when you have a death penalty.

Two tabs

  • Skills: every skill, in groups.
  • Attributes & Vitals: the six attributes (Strength, Endurance, Quickness, Coordination, Focus, Self), then Vitals (maximum): Health, Stamina and Mana.

Skill groups

The groups are Specialized, Trained, Untrained and Unusable, as in retail. Click a group's header to fold or unfold it. Unusable starts folded.

What each row shows

  • The skill's icon and name. A small sparkle after the name means buffs are on it; a red arrow means debuffs are.
  • Buffed: the value with buffs. Green when buffs raise it, red when debuffs lower it.
  • Base: the value without buffs.
  • Cost: the XP for the next raise. Teal when you can afford it, grey when you can't, and "max" at the top rank. Untrained skills show their training cost in skill credits instead, like "6 cr".
  • The action buttons at the end of the row (see below).

Use the Search skills box to filter by name. The Sort button sorts by Name, Buffed, Base or Next raise, and the button next to it flips the order.

Details and buffs

Click a row to open it. You'll see:

  • its ranks, the XP already spent and the XP left to the maximum;
  • the skill's description;
  • the buffs and debuffs on it. Each shows the spell's icon, the amount, the spell name and the time left, which counts down.

Spells from worn items say "no end". When several spells of the same kind are on you, only the strongest counts in AC, so only that one is listed, with "(+N weaker)" after it.

Click the row again to close it.

Raising with XP

Every skill, attribute and vital you can raise has two buttons at the end of its row:

  • +1 raises one rank straight away, with no confirm.
  • The small caret (▼) next to it opens a menu with +10, +100 and Max. Each one shows its XP cost; Max also shows how many ranks it buys, like "Max (+37)".

Hover a greyed button to see why it can't act: not enough XP, already at the top rank, or a raise still on its way.

Max asks first if it would spend more than half of your unassigned XP. The confirm box shows the new base and rank, the cost, and your unassigned XP before and after, with a reminder that spent XP can't be taken back. +1, +10 and +100 don't ask.

After any raise, the status line says "Sent... waiting for the server". Every raise button waits until the new numbers arrive, or 5 seconds pass. This stops a double click from buying twice. You'll also see the normal retail "Your base ... is now ..." message.

Training with skill credits

Untrained and Unusable skills have a Train button instead.

  1. Look at the Cost column. It shows the training cost in credits, for example "6 cr". It's teal when you have enough credits and grey when you don't.
  2. Click Train. A confirm box shows the cost and your skill credits before and after.
  3. Click Train in the box.
  4. You'll get the server's chat line, for example "Skill trained. You now have N credits available." Within a second or so, the skill moves to the Trained group and gets its raise buttons.

Training always asks first. If you want the credits back later, you'll need to untrain the skill with a Gem of Forgetfulness.

Specializing

There's no Specialize button. The game has no action a client can send to specialize a skill. To specialize, you need that skill's Gem of Enlightenment from the Temple, the same as without RynthCore.

The panel still helps you plan. Open a trained skill's details to see how many more credits specializing it would cost.

Tips

  • Try a cheap +1 first and check the numbers against the retail window.
  • Use the caret menu to see what +10, +100 and Max would cost before you spend anything. Just looking costs nothing.
  • Sort by Next raise to find the cheapest raises (it sorts by the Cost column).
  • Open a skill's details to check when your buffs run out.
  • If the raise buttons are greyed everywhere with "Raising isn't available on this client build", the panel couldn't find the client's raise functions. Use the retail window instead and report it. Training works the same way ("Training isn't available on this client build").

Known limits

  • New panel. Compare its numbers with the retail windows before you rely on them, especially the attribute and vital numbers.
  • Spent XP can't be taken back. +1, +10 and +100 don't ask, so take care with them.
  • No Specialize button (see above).
  • Server extras aren't shown separately. If the server adds its own bonuses to skills, the panel has no way to show how much of a number comes from them. They should already be counted in the Buffed and Base numbers, but compare with the retail window if a number looks off.
  • Buffs that raise all skills at once aren't listed under each skill.
